We have extensive experience in recovery of troubled projects (Not our own!).

We are regularly called in by the leading(*) multinational Systems Integrators to take over delivery of software projects which they have contracted to deliver to their clients but are struggling to deliver. Typically these projects are characterised by:

  • running very late
  • being over-budget
  • often with very disappointed customers, sometimes with relationships soured, and threatening litigation

We have developed a tried and tested process to move these projects back to green, which starts with a rapid review of the project, broadly under the lens of the 10 PMBOK chapter headings, to determine the key root causes that need to be addressed. We then form a go-to-green plan which focuses on:

  • ensuring that the basics of good solid project management methodologies are in place,
  • the team has the skills and resources to deliver,
  • the customer relationship is repaired
  • and the schedule is robust and being maintained.
